Coach C. is a native of Savannah. His coaching career began as an assistant coach with The Liberty City Vikings. After his years there he was the Co-Founder and Vice President of The Savannah Eagles. Coach C. was one of the first members of The United Youth Leaders of Savannah, which consisted of presidents and founders of 9 youth programs. As a member he organized many events for the city of Savannah and Chatham County’s youth and coaches. He was part of the committee that helped the Chatham County Recreation Department reorganize their youth football and basketball leagues. He facilitated the acquisitions of football helmets for the Chatham County Football League in 2018, whereas those helmets are still in use today. Currently, he is also the President of the newly reformed Coalition of Savannah Youth Leaders. He’s worked with this group to present a proposal to the City of Savannah for support and funding. He’s proud to say that history was made as the first organization to receive that much needed support for our youth. Coach C. thanks and greatly appreciates all previous and present organizations for the opportunities to gain volunteering and coaching knowledge, he now has.  

 Ammon "AJ' Crawford born May 5, 2004

and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Ammon “AJ” Crawford has been involved in athletics from an early age. He began playing youth football at the age of five with the Liberty City Vikings before continuing his athletic journey in both football and basketball.

AJ played 10U basketball with the Savannah Eagles and later competed in 10U football with the Windsor Forest Knights. In 2013, he and his father, Coach C. (Ammon Crawford), co-founded The Southwest Georgetown Youth Organization, Inc. (C-HAWKS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing young athletes and mentoring youth throughout the community.

As a C-HAWKS athlete, AJ completed his Little League career participating in basketball, track & field, and football, building the foundation for his future success both on and off the field.

He continued his athletic career at the high school level, playing football and basketball for the Coastal Hurricanes and later football for the Gladiators.

Following his playing career, AJ transitioned into coaching with the C-HAWKS. In 2022, he served as the head coach of the organization’s 14U football team, leading them to the Chatham County Championship and continuing the organization’s tradition of excellence.

Today, AJ continues his football career as a semi-professional athlete with the Port Wentworth Broncos while remaining committed to mentoring young athletes and giving back to the community through coaching and leadership.

Elizabeth Amonnie Crawford was born  

March 19, 2002 and raised in Savannah, Georgia. began her athletic journey as a cheerleader with the Liberty City Vikings and later cheered for the Savannah Eagles.

In 2013, alongside her father, Coach C., and her brother, she helped establish The Southwest Georgetown Youth Organization, Inc. (C-HAWKS). Since its founding, Elizabeth has played a vital role in the organization’s growth, providing leadership and support behind the scenes.

She is a proud graduate of A.E. Beach High School, Class of 2020, where she was an active member of numerous school clubs and organizations and received multiple recognitions for her involvement and leadership.

In 2023, Elizabeth earned her degree in Applied Science in Business Administration from Purdue Global University.

Today, Elizabeth serves as one of the driving forces behind the scenes at C-HAWKS. She oversees organization, planning, and administrative operations, helping coordinate events, manage logistics, and ensure the program runs smoothly. Her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to youth development continue to make a lasting impact on the athletes, families, and community served by C-HAWKS.

Coach Bill is excited to be starting his second year as Athletic Director and head coach. HCoach e joined the C-HAWKS family after coaching with the Savannah Hurricane, Savannah Seminoles, Bears Elite, Savannah Eagles and Liberty City Vikings, all here in the city of Savannah. He begin his career as an assistant coach with the Vikings under head coach, Coach C., back in 2013. He then joined the Savannah Eagles where he was one of the first coaches for the newly formed organization. After his stent there he landed with Bears Elite. While there he navigated multiple teams to the playoffs. After coaching with the Hurricanes and Seminoles he stepped away from the game he loved. Missing the game and helping children, Coach Bill was ready for his next chapter. With his past experiences, love and passion for children, he reunited with Coach C. and The Southwest Georgetown Youth Organization Inc. as their New Athletic Director. 

 In his first year back he was able to lead the C-HAWKS 12 & Under, football team, to the Chatham County playoffs, seated as the fourth seed. He was also very instrumental in taking the C-HAWKS 14 & Under to the playoffs in basketball. Still in his first year he help coach multiple children to the District and GA State Track & Field Meet. 

C. Nichole Gilchrist graduated Magna Cum Laude from Savannah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2008. She is a native of McCormick, South Carolina but was raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Ms. Gilchrist served as the NAACP Georgia Youth & College Division President; NAACP Georgia Youth & College Division Vice President; and Savannah State University Chapter President. During her presidency for the Georgia Youth & College Division, the administrative leadership focused on activating youth councils and college chapters, conducting legal research, managing compliance/evaluation procedures, program assessment process, and selected elements of grant development. Ms. Gilchrist coordinated and organized complex academic development issues for local and state youth. She participated in public demonstrations including Troy Davis, Marcus Dixon, Geraldo Wilson, Jena 6, and Stop the Violence.

Ms. Gilchrist received her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2016 and is licensed to practice law in Georgia. Ms. Gilchrist began her legal career joining a boutique law firm in Beaufort, South Carolina where she was quickly promoted to the Civil Litigation Department Chair. She was recognized for settling a multi-million-dollar wrongful death claim.

Ms. Gilchrist worked for a major personal injury firm, prior to becoming the founder and owner of MG3 Consulting Services, LLC and serves as “Of-Counsel” for CRMLaw, LLC located in Savannah, Georgia.

Throughout the years, Ms. Gilchrist has served Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina communities. She has implemented superior endeavors positioned upon scholarship, public service, equality, unity, justice, health and wellness. Ms. Gilchrist uses her experiences as an attorney and advocate to educate the community on the importance of having a designated driver, heirs’ property, and finances.

She is a member of the National Black Lawyers Top 100; National Black Lawyers 40 Under 40; and The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, American Bar Association, and a mentor for at-risk-youth. Outside the firm, Ms. Gilchrist serves on the board of directors for Stars Schools Initiatives and volunteer as a coach for the southwest Georgetown C-Hawks. She is a motivational speaker that encourages people on the importance of a quality education, trade experiences, investing in their communities, and molding future leaders.
